Lighting the Blues Flame

In 2010, right before Paul entered university, he came across a video of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s 1983 performance live at El Mocambo, and his life was forever changed.

It was like a spark was fanned into a bright, blue flame that birthed his blues trio Bleu Rascals.

With Spencer Carlyle Rymonte on the bass, Darwin Quinto on drums, and the mentorship of Mr. Thomas “Tomcat” Colvin, the Bleu Rascals took over the Philippine blues scene like wildfire.
