At the End of this Road is a song I wrote for my Tatay (“Father” in Filipino language) when he had a stroke in 2019. Tatay has always been the happiest person in the family. When he’s happy, everyone’s happy, so upon realizing that Tatay would never live a normal life again, the devastation started creeping in.

Knowing that Tatay had lost all hope, in tears, I wrote this song for him, for this song and our faith in God, were all I could offer. Despite my dream of sharing my music in front of thousands of people, Tatay will always be my VVIP guest, so I am blessed to have been able to offer this song to him while he was recovering. 

In 2021, Tatay, a Doctor in a small town in the Philippines, was awarded with a plaque of appreciation for saving the most lives during the Covid outbreak. As fate would have it, he never got to personally receive the award for he reached the end of his road.
